Britain’s

Britain’s hollow cast “mounties” in 54mm are the ancestors of my own RCMP.

Not everyone has a collection of them (meaning Britain’s hollow cast), me neither… I had a big box of Coldstream Guards when a child and fortunate I was of having it!

Today the best way to complete your collection or start a new one if that is your taste in 54mm is going for REPLICA (Andrew Stevens)… I guess this summer he will have completed his move to a new home and quarters… and able to produce sets again. I wish him the best of luck!

6 mm Village

Daniel Hodgson’s work (he painted all my ACW buildings too!)

Awesome by all means! He commercially uses the trade mark REVEILLE… so if in need of truly ell painted scenery (or 6mm minis BTW) there he is… google up! (Giving him the “plug” because I am a truly satisfied customer!… this webpage does not have publicity in it but I recommend what I like and that’s that (really personal and up to me)

PS: BTW you can see other pics from REVEILLE in other posts of this web page… ACW or FFL enjoy…

Some colonials…

In retrospect or with a lot of hindsight Imperialism (of any Century or era… so have a little perspective!… sometimes it was called simply “conquests”) was on the whole a bad thing (specially for the conquered). But if you love your History and know an average about it… inevitable somehow… That produced objectives for Nations (mainly as usual economic) and colourful units when “national” manpower was put to the test and found wanting…

So after a separation from my computer (a long week) here you can have a pic of some Colonial chaps… Enjoy.

Displaying your collection.

The ultimate goal (for some of us) is the cabinets…

It seems a bit silly, but of course it is not… you are proud of your collection and what is the best way to show it?… a cabinet (or shelves)… sometimes the task of a lifetime span. This is my particular way of thinking (I try to keep the boxes too but first and foremost I like to display my collection). So I am all for this way of “showing” as this gentleman did on Facebook!

ACW (in a club)

I do not think they are 15mm but all is posible nowadays (seen in Facebook)

ACW in large scale (at least they look like 25/28mm to me) is better suited to big tables and multiplayer wargaming. I am all for it… but as you know I live on the back of beyond… so it is solo wargaming in 6mm for me!
