This is a magnificent example of what a collection of Toy Soldiers is, pics by the owner on Facebook (look for the group mytoysoldiersandme). A clarification is needed, when I titled this web page MY TOY SOLDIERS AND ME the idea was to include under this umbrella all fans of collecting toy soldiers whatever the size, style or purpose, so the “MY” refers to “YOUR” figures not at all exclusively mine at all if you follow me. What is more, I usually abstain of repeating myself ad nauseam posting well known pics of my toy soldiers (even if I do from time to time to illustrate a point). So this is why you see wargaming minis in all scales, pure toy soldiers (vintage and “new”) and military modeling figures in many scales. Hope that makes it clear! Enjoy
By The Way… I am more of the school of black dot effect for the eyes of mine!… but the work in the eyes of the figures by Mr. Green is superbly detailed (a steady hand you need for that)

If you want to see the full collection of pics try to join the International Toy Soldier Club (ITSC) club 93 members but growing and if I may say so great quality (not talking about my contributions). And there you can comment and post and interact with other members.
Enjoy! I did

Of course one advantage is that as long as your scenery is a bit neutral it can be used very easily in the NWF and in North Africa.
See the French Foreign Legion pics below.

Military Bands have always been a very collectable category as far as I know… Toy Soldiers need music to march on!
Bands standing instead of marching, or even seated are a special variant of the subject. See three examples of a serious collector.
Enjoy!

He posts frequently in Facebook… and his collection is really impressive!… he even got in it the late Featherstone’s Armies… Those Highlanders are Britain’s of course… but he is an eclectic collector and has items from a variety of makers. Enjoy!

Find hereby some delightful vignettes done by Andrew Stevenson from REPLICA METAL MODEL SOLDIERS.
There are several years specials (for X’mas) mixed up.
Quite peaceful if you ask me…
Enjoy!

And now some real toy soldiers after the sugary season… original subjects to say the least!

I am very partial to REPLICA’s output… in this case a bunch of ACW recast Britain’s like toy soldiers…
They are hard to get!… meaning patience is the main asset when ordering from REPLICA!… but the results are worth the wait.
Wish Andrew luck with them.
Enjoy

Published in the web of the ITSC (The International Toy Soldier Club) this is an awesome set done by Andrew Stevenson for a customer (a lucky customer I will add full of positive envy!).
It reproduces one mythical set of Old Britains with figures ad hoc (many of them Britains never did I must clarify!).
Never have seen something so awesome in years of collecting.
Enjoy!

The long awaited return of REPLICA is here!… and this set from the owner is very similar (enhanced by a lot more of figures for the pic) to a commission from the National Army Museum (UK).
What else can I say?
Enjoy!

I woke up today and for the life of me I could not remember what I intended to post today!… to my delightful surprise I stumbled in a post from Andrew at REPLICA… and here you have a choice of pics (there are more on Facebook in the group mytoysoldiersandme). Damn good news… I hope he is back in the saddle again for keeps… Enjoy!
