Playmobil customs or using stickers May 2026

Just a series of pics of what I am doing nowadays.

I am a collector of “classic” (by now NEW TOY SOLDIERS) 54mm gloss finish Toy Soldiers, also a wargamer in 6mm scale… but I do skirmish with 75mm Playmobils -because messing with the parts is huge FUN!-

So, here are some pics

Enjoy!

Working on Units lossely based on the period of the American War of Independence (AWI)… I am not serious at all trying to be 100% accurate with the uniforms etc (that applies to all pics)
A page of stickers to apply on the torso of a figure… super detailed.
An example of a couple of figures once “customized” (Rabble in Arms as in Oliver Curwood novel)
This pic is from an Exhibition on the Museo del Ejército in Valencia (Spain)… very cute and elaborated customizacions (far more convoluted and precise than mine)
But the officer… the rest are literally “OUT OF THE BAG” from Playmobil.
Existing units (old customs) going to be ” updated ” in
the future
Same as above (Note how a tricorne or a sticker easy transforms your basic figure)
See what I mean?
One on the back row is now the first pic on this Post (Coldstream Guards late 1700’s)
The “Tricorne Period” together with the ACW are the easiest periods to collect I guess.
Those I have already shown before in other Posts… but shows the level of FUN!
Before and after applying a sticker.
See?
Spaniards messing in the AWI (even if erased from Historical Memory!)
A nice Cavalry Unit (IMHO)
