REPLICA does a magnificent set (a la BRITAINS) of the Royal Navy in 54mm

Published in the web of the ITSC (The International Toy Soldier Club) this is an awesome set done by Andrew Stevenson for a customer (a lucky customer I will add full of positive envy!).

It reproduces one mythical set of Old Britains with figures ad hoc (many of them Britains never did I must clarify!).

Never have seen something so awesome in years of collecting.

Enjoy!

Naval Gun on wheels… for landing party.
Royal Marines Light Infantry… and Bluejackets pulling limber…
Second level of the box!
Command and Signals.
Great landing party!
Medical station.
Firing line.
The massive box and the superior tray… Awesome!

REPLICA comes back with an orgy of redcoats!

The long awaited return of REPLICA is here!… and this set from the owner is very similar (enhanced by a lot more of figures for the pic) to a commission from the National Army Museum (UK).

What else can I say?

Enjoy!

A very similar composition is now at the National Army Museum… courtesy of REPLICA!
Another view of the decorations to Royal Fusiliers!
They look very similar but the details are important!
My own work would never be in a Museum… but I love that some figures in my collection are from Andrew Stevens from REPLICA!

I woke up today and for the life of me I could not remember what I intended to post today!… to my delightful surprise I stumbled in a post from Andrew at REPLICA… and here you have a choice of pics (there are more on Facebook in the group mytoysoldiersandme). Damn good news… I hope he is back in the saddle again for keeps… Enjoy!

A fine General! (with ADC)

As far as 54mm New Toy Soldiers akin to Britain’s go… you do not need to search more… REPLICA it is… and that’s that. (Alternatively there are other well known trade marks as Dorset Soldiers / Imperial Soldiers and Steadfast (R.Prati) to say but two!).

Here you can have a sight of the new premises… as we all know we have been promised start of production by next January 2023… keep your fingers crossed and hope for the best!.

Splendid castings. AGW or not involved they are beautiful Toy Soldiers on their own. I wish I could do moulds and cast my own figures but never got even close to that part of the hobby. Too late at my age… better buy unpainted casts and paint them if I found the time!… Silly me!… I thought that once retired I would have lots and lots of free time… it is not so (you have been warned!). LOL

Toy Soldiers “in action” by Scott Lesch!

Nowadays a hard core of aficionados has rediscovered the charm of wargaming (without throwing pellets) in 54mm scale with Toy Soldiers. After all it is a normal consequence of 28mm skirmish type of games… I am in it in spades… you will see in a couple of days when I post my “new” additions to an Army of French Foreign Legion figures by DORSET SOLDIERS… painted by myself because once retired it is a rediscovery (not exclusively for the less money involved.. because you get it exactly right!… and even fastest than to wait fot them to paint them).

Not that I do not buy painted one’s… in general they do paint better than me (specially Andrew Stevens who seems to get his shop REPLICA ready for business again!… and that is a piece of excellent news!). Dorset Soldiers (now amalgamated with IMPERIAL MINIATURES and ALL THE QUEEN’S MEN) do paint better than me too!… bu I have the patience and the time (Or whatever amount of time remains… LOL).

Enjoy!

They can not be nicer…
Another shot!
And Another!… I just love his figures…
