I have a passion for colonial affairs in my fantasy world (because In the real world I think Imperialism was wrong… mind probably inevitable in context and I mean historically… but definitely wrong on the whole approach of white man supremacy… LOL… I do not know why I have to include my private opinions in this Blog at all!)… pros and cons aside… there was colourful troops and little actions who deserve attention if you are a wargamer in 54MM or whatever scale.
Find this setting and troops delightful even if some need a bit of repair (that prone figure with broken rifle hurts my eyes).
Enjoy!
Nice settingSome are batteredNeed to repair that rifleGood WarriorsFinal view,
Alan Harrison’s beautiful (and magnificent) Collection!
Those cabinets are very similar to mine but they include vintage Toy Soldiers by Lucotte and other niceties I can not afford… also is much more bigger a collection than mine… Congratulations!
Enjoy!
NICE!More exotic!Quite mixed subjectsLots of CavalryAnd more…Say WOW! if you please…
A pity the flash reflected on the building… but otherwise a very nice picture.
The Dutch Grenadiers of the Guard would have a tragic campaign history… but you all know that. Nice uniform but not a great record… Iconography has dwelt upon some units a lot of attention…
Lovely display!… For once the collector has more soldiers than me! (Only kidding… never thought on having such vast numbers of Household Cavalry!) by contrast my RHA teams are more complete (life has those turns…)… to do not mention the Foot Guards… even if I suspect NOT his whole collection in the pics.
Never thought for a second to let mine be displayed outside of my Home&Castle… if you know what I mean…
A great Idea.
Enjoy!

Out of the blue an email with pics!… something out of the ordinary I can assure you! By the way if you want your collection or pics from it published here send them to me (as long quality is as shown below!).
It has been about three years since I started this Blog intermmitently, nowadays I try to post once a day (mainly I can do that)… but even if I have devised means to contact with other collectors… Facebook does the trick better because my son (Expert in computers… his career and way of life!) do not believe this humble Blog needs feedback because of spam… so… I keep publishing my email on it from time to time and sometimes SUCCES!… someone takes the pain of bothering about it and gets out of his or her way (I know it is mainly HIS) to contact me and drop a line or even pics!.
Yesterday was one of this days. So I give you the pics kindly sent by Mr. Al Fisher (Senior to me in experience and years!… who is still in the hobby…)
Truly glad of it! I asked him for permission to publish!… so there you have it… as always you can contact me at adb@andorra.ad (YES! a country with NO Army as Pete Seeger sung…)
Enjoy!
Wonderful composition and pic!Prussians too!A bit grainy but alright!Last but not least… the first ever pic of Lawrence of’Arabia in this Blog! (El-Laurens)
There seems to be a lot of Prussians lately… but that’s what it is… sometimes wargamers do have to follow a fashion no matter what (me included). Prussia had a span of 30 years before integrating Great Germany after 1870… and still… they are very popular (as anything before WWI and WWII)… LOL
Enjoy!
A lot of Prussians advancing…The French opposition!
