Some nice pics of well painted 28mm minis. Not that I miss the Napoleonic period at all (Too Big Span of time… too many Armies… too prone to megalomania I fear).
Seriously, one of the best wargaming periods round the world.
Enjoy!

There are parts of my Collection that do not move at all… they were completed to my satisfaction and that’s that.
BUT… if I started anew they would be the first one’s I will build… see what I mean?
The British Household Cavalry Life Guards and Blues&Royals is that special part of my voyage ineludible because I was always in awe of the magnificent pageantry and display.
So here you have them in all their splendid uniforms.
Enjoy!

Well,
Here you have it the third Post in a row.
The dedication and quality of this wargamers deserve it in spades.
Hope you enjoyed as much as I did.
Next one for something completely different I guess…
Cheers!

Part II
The choice of pics is mine but you can see the whole collection of them in Facebook searching for New Buckenham Historical Wargamers.
Envy?… nah… I am happy wargaming SOLO in 6MM nowadays… old age has inconveniences but also some advantages… I can play for half an hour a day for as many days I want (or even longer if I wish).
Splendid uniforms in the beginning of the XIXth Century… but cannon fodder the same if you know what I mean.
Enjoy!

I played Napoleonics in 25MM (MINIFIGS) for thirty years (see Post Waterloo in this present webpage).
It was fun. Specially when we played with my brother and friends when we were young.
Funnily enough we did really make a mess of it (meaning the rules we used) but one day in one of the refights… The Old Guard did put the British to flight and remained in possession of the bloody field of battle at Waterloo!
It was really hard to contemplate a “new” refight after that.
By chance in my megalomania I had Austrians and Russians too!… so we moved backwards to Aspern-Essling… LOL
Those were the days. Some are still doing it In the Grand Manner.
Enjoy!

For those tired of my 6MM ACW Collection, wargames, and pics… there you have it… Gettysburg in 28MM.
Someone must have a very very very BIG wargames table… LOL
I did that with 25mm MINIFIGS eons ago… in fact First Bull Run/First Manassas… and it was “cramped” in my wargames table…
One of the reasons I went 6MM… that and the better quality of for example BACCUS minis.
Enjoy!

I once painted 4 minis in 20MM scale (AIRFIX) and was enraged by the fact the paint peeled off… must be a seventies trauma.
Charles Grant and Peter Young enjoyed the period… Charge! is a book fetish that uses them…
And still I can not push myself to it!
Enjoy!

I was always fascinated by the Uniforms of the Seven Years War… but… never got into it… do not ask me why… I do not really know. Have read the full History many times (considered the first world war in a way)… but Campaigns and Battles are not exciting me as per example those of the American Civil War (I never tire of the ACW) or Napoleon’s wars against many coalitions…
Those pics are truly very nice… I guess they are 28mm but could be mistaken… do not personally like the white on the eyes (but this is a personal mania)… fantastic flags!
Enjoy!

From time to time it does not hurt at all.
I was a wargamer in that scale for more than 30 years!
Have go down to 6mm and happy about it for my SOLO wargaming… but I still appreciate the bigger scales of course… who does not?
Enjoy!

All right folks!… Here you have a more traditional approach to the ACW… Perry Miniatures in 28mm (Just for those tired of my 6mm ANTIETAM/SHARPSBURG battle… which is coming nicely to an historical conclusion).
Enjoy the bigger scale… I do too!
